Understanding the Power of Social Media

Ok, so in today’s world everything we do and everything we say ends up on someones page. Whether it’s tweeting, facebooking, blogging, videos or whatever the next trend may be.  Word to the wise don’t ever post anything that you wouldn’t want your grandmother or boss to read/see.  I have first hand witnessed families divide, friendships end jobs terminated from ill-advised material being posted on the web.

When used correctly it is an awesome tool though. You can connect with old friends, advertise services/goods at little to no cost, drive traffic to generate new business and much more!  Take this blog for example, it’s just one way to reach out to people who in the past would never know who I am or what I do.  Can’t wait to see what the next level of social media will be but I’m sure I’ll have an opinion on it (lol).
